Tampa Volunteer Information

Thank you for your interest in volunteering September 14 (pre event set up 7:00 AM all Logistics volunteers; 2:00 PM all other volunteers) 15, 16 (clinic days), 17 (presentations), and 18 (post event break down), 2022. Check out the schedule below as well as volunteer needs. Once you register, our volunteer director will reach out to you. 
 
Event Goal:  To holistically direct people to the Creator God as Healer of body, mind, and soul while supporting individual conscience and free choice.

 

The event is entirely free and open to all.

This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. More details coming soon. 

As a medical clinic, we ask that volunteers follow these guidelines:

  • Professional, tan or navy bottoms; tan, white, or navy top; closed toe shoes. Solid colored scrubs in these colors are suitable.
  • Volunteers will be provided with a lanyard and identification to designate their department/role. 

Volunteers are responsible for arranging their own accommodations. We have partnered with two hotels for a discounted group rate, however, you are welcome to book alternative accommodations.  Discounted hotel rates for dates other than Wednesday, September 13 through Sunday, September 18 are subject to availability. August 24 is the cut-off date to make a reservation at Aloft.

    at $159/night plus taxes and fees. Airport shuttle is not provided. 818-898-8000.

  • airbnb and vrbo are alternatives to hotel accommodations.

If you would like to share a room and split the cost, we can help match you with another volunteer. Please ensure that you book a double occupancy room (two beds for two people). This will help our team coordinate most efficiently.  Upon completing your reservation, contact Michael Wilson via email at philippians.4.8@icloud.com and indicate the following: arrival and departure dates, name of hotel, name on reservation. We'll be in touch within 48 hours. 

Volunteer Providers Will Receive:

Malpractice coverage and In-house credentialing.

All medical clinic services and programming will be held in downtown Tampa at the Tampa Convention Center, located at 333 S Franklin St, Tampa, FL 33602

  • Tampa Convention Center Garage is $2 per hour, with a maximum daily rate of $12 (subject to change).
  • Pam Iorio & Fort Brooke Garage are within walking distance and have the same hourly rate. Pre-pay/reserved parking is not available. All are owned by the City of Tampa.

 

*We are aware that some volunteers are interested in overnight RV parking. We are looking into options. Please reach out to us if you know of any RV parking in downtown Tampa so we can share with other volunteers. 

There are two close airports to downtown Tampa:

  • Tampa International Airport, 4100 George J Bean Pkwy, Tampa, FL 33607
  • St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport 14700 Terminal Blvd #221, Clearwater, FL 33762
  • Ridesharing services are available to and from airports through Uber and Lyft.
  • Shuttle services from airports to your hotel may be available. Please check directly with your hotel.
